Transfer Deadline for January 2021 is expected to be fairly quiet but this is unusual as it's normally a busy day for clubs all over the world.
Let's take a look at some of the best (and then some of the worst) transfers made on deadline day.
Wayne Rooney to Man United (August 2004)
What more can be said about this signing? Rooney went onto become United's record goalscorer and was a key signing as Sir Alex Ferguson looked to take Man United back to the top of the Premier League.
Ashley Cole to Chelsea (August 2006)
One of the most controversial transfers ever.
This ESPN article documents the controversy and how a boyhood Arsenal fan ended up signing for Chelsea.
Robinho to Manchester City (August 2008)
The first big transfer of the new era at Man City. The signing of Robinho an unparalleled level of transfer activity over the next few seasons.
There's a debate to be had about whether Robinho was a success for City but he definitely became an important figure for them as they looked to change their mentality and start attracting bigger players
Dimitar Berbatov to Man United (August 2008)
On the same day Robinho signed for City, Berbatov signed for United. He was linked with City during the day but he was signed late on Deadline Day by Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United.
Berbatov was a good player for United, helping them to win more trophies but there was always a debate about whether he truly fitted into SAF's all conquering Man United side.
