The second goal for United came after the USA forward Christen Press thumped the ball in after she was slipped through by Jackie Groenen a few minutes minutes later.
Elsewhere...
A late goal from Chloe Kelly kept Man City's Women's Super League title challenge on course after a nail-biting encounter with Reading at Academy Stadium.
Lauren Hemp's superb run assisted Kelly and she tapped the ball in from close range in the 87th minute.
How things stand
Man City Women are top of the league with United in 3rd place. Both are on course for a spot in next season's Champions League.
