Chelsea do remain favourites to retain the Women's Super League title.City remain two points off their visitors with two games remaining.
Chelsea lead 2-1 before Lauren Hemp equalised with just over 15 minutes to go.
The City boss Gareth Taylor told media outlets such as the BBC.
"For me there only looked like one winner [late on]. We had some good opportunities and then their keeper makes a world-class save. There is still a chance but you can understand the players' disappointment. It looked like we were going to get the late winner but we ran out of time in the end."
City dominated the possession but will be disappointed that they didn't score the important winner that would have meant taking the initiative in the title race. They have however stayed in the race. Late chances for Chelsea could have won it for them.

Anything else that happens is out of our control. We need to give ourselves the best possible chance."
Well done girls gave all you could and but for a world class save would have got the 3 points.
