The Premier League champions have been linked with a shock move for Chelsea right-back Reece James.
Chelsea's Athletic correspondent, Simon Johnson has reported that Manchester City have added Reece James to the list of players they'd like to sign.
It has reported there and elsewhere that Pep Guardiola is an admirer of James and would love to add him to his side next season.
The young defender has played over 80 times for the European champions but also spent time on loan at Wigan Athletic.
It could prove to be a very busy summer for City, they have been linked with big money transfers for Jack Grealish and Harry Kane.

One Chelsea fan joked: "Why would Reece James want to downgrade to a team that has never won a Champions League..."
A City fan argued that he would be a great signing but he didn't think Chelsea would be willing to sell.
