The start of February is always a difficult month for Man United fans as they remember all those who died in Munich on February 6th 1958.
On February 1st 1958, United went to Arsenal and won 5-4. Edwards and Charlton both scored twice in what would sadly be the last game for so many of Matt Busby's great United side.
After this, United were off to Belgrade to play in the Quarter-final of the European Cup. They won the first leg 2-1 and were confident of progressing in the competition and having a great end to the season.
1st February 1958, The Babes played their last match on English soil. Beating Arsenal 5-4 in a classic at Highbury. United were wearing Black arm bands as director George Whitaker had died overnight in his London hotel room. #ManchesterUnited #BusbyBabes pic.twitter.com/IGrhlhhHHI
