Daniel James believes Luke Shaw should be named the Manchester United player of the month for February, even though he is nominated himself.
Man United revealed that James, Shaw, Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes were the four contenders for the award, with James rewarded for his return to form.
The Welsh winger has started the past four successive games for United, scoring twice and giving Ole Solskjaer another attacking option.
But James believes that the consistent left-back Shaw, who was pipped by Paul Pogba to the January award, deserves some recognition.
James spoke about Shaw with ManUtd.com
“He’s been unbelievable recently. He’s shown how good he is.
“He’s created so many goals for us and he’s up there with the top assists. He's continuing to do that, to be that player, so he deserves it.”
Luke Shaw joined Manchester United in June 2014, meaning that he is now one of United's longest serving players.
