Man City progressed to this stage after a 4-0 aggregate win in the previous round.

The first leg should take place at the Etihad Stadium.

The second leg should take place at the iconic Signal Iduna Park.

City faced Dortmund during their disastrous Champions League campaign in 2012/2013. They were knocked out at the Group Stages. In two matches against Dortmund, they drew one and lost one.

The game will provide a huge platform for Erling Haaland to shine. The Norwegian forward has been linked with both United and City in recent weeks as he is expected to leave Dortmund during the summer transfer window.

The blues have never won the competition and at the very least, they will want to go further than last season when they were knocked out by Lyon.

They reached the Semi Final stage in 2016 when they were knocked out by the eventual winners Real Madrid.
