Some believe that Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest footballer of all time. He spent 6 years at Old Trafford and scored over 100 goals for Man United.
Ronaldo signed for United during the 2003 Summer Transfer Window.
He made his debut for Manchester United after coming on a substitute against Bolton Wanderers during the first game of the 2003/2004 season.
Ronaldo finished his first season at Manchester United with 6 goals, this included a goal in the 2004 Fa Cup Final.
During his second season, Ronaldo's goal return improved and scored 9. The downside was United finished the season without a trophy.
In his third season, Ronaldo scored in their League Cup Final thrashing over Wigan Athletic.
There was some controversy ahead of the 2006/2007 season. Many English football fans believed Ronaldo was to blame for Wayne Rooney's sending off in a World Cup Quarter Final. He was seen as the enemy by English football fans and was booed at almost every ground during the 2006/2007.
Ronaldo and Rooney recovered and helped United to win their first Premier League title since 2003.
Things got even better for United during 2007/2008
Ronaldo scored over 40 goals in all competitions as United won a double of Premier League and Champions League.

United won the league in 2009 in his final season at Old Trafford. He moved to Real Madrid during the summer of 2009 for a then record transfer fee of £80 million.
Ronaldo went from strength to strength at Real Madrid, as he won every major trophy. He was drawn against United in the 2013 Champions League and despite being in opposition, Man United fans still sung his name.
He then moved to Juventus in 2018 and has continued to have some success in Italy. He was won the Serie A on two occasions but has failed to win another Champions League.
