Which EFL Teams Will Have A Successful Season?

For some teams, survival will represent a successful season. For others, promotion is a must.

Who will hold their nerve?

After a crazy twelve months on and off the pitch, Wigan Athletic will see survival in League One as a huge success. They are in decent form and will look to have a better time of it next season. Should Wigan survive, it will probably be at the expense of Rochdale. 

Bolton Wanderers and Salford City are both looking for promotion from League Two into League One. Bolton can make sure they avoid the nerves of the Play-offs but this is something Salford will have to put it up with. It would obviously be a huge step up for one club but another will see it as the absolute bare minimum for them as a club. 

Life is less exciting for Oldham Athletic. Their fans will almost certainly be looking forward to the season ending and planning ahead for hopefully a brighter future. 

Looking outside of the English Football League, Stockport County will want to join our sides in the top four divisions next season.
