Wigan are currently in 20th place, one point and one position above the League One relegation zone.
It was a superb result and performance last time out as they beat Sunderland 2-1.

Can Wigan take another step towards League One survival?
With some of the problems off the pitch being resolved, survival in League One is hugely important for Wigan.
Going into the summer as a League One side means a better standard of player will want to join Wigan and they can start planning for better times. Should they retain their place in the third tier of English football, they might fancy their chances of a promotion bid next season.
