The champions let a 2-0 lead slip as they lost 3-2 to Brighton & Hove Albion
The lead wiped out by a resurgent Brighton who recovered to win late on.
Joao Cancelo was punished with a red card after just 10 minutes, but goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden looked to have put City on the way to a 13th consecutive Premier League away win
Brighton were buoyed by a passionate home crowd, eventually made the extra man pay with three second-half goals to secure a first top flight victory over City for 40 years.

Pep says
"Eleven against 11 against Brighton is tough, 11 against 10 is difficult so we have to improve for the final.
"Unfortunately after 0-2, we conceded a goal so quick and after they push a lot, we were more tired and could not keep the ball as much as possible - we could not do it and unfortunately we lost the game.

Another fan pointed out: "That goal by Foden, recreated Son's award winning goal🔥🔥"
Another spoke highly of Phil Foden: "Foden what a talent just keeps getting better"
