Manchester United now have to play twice before City play again. United will need to win both games (against Leicester and Liverpool) to keep the title race going a little bit longer.

On Saturday, City let a half-time lead to lose 2-1 against Chelsea. They had a chance to make it 2-0 but Aguero missed a penalty.

Manchester United knew they had to win against Aston Villa and they duly obliged. However, they had to come back from 1-0 down again.

Second half goals from Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani sealed the 3-1 victory for Manchester United.

United have now sealed a Champions League spot. This is the first time they have had two successive top 4 finishes since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
