Gary Neville played over 600 times for Manchester United and managed to score seven goals for the club.

1992 Youth Cup

Gary Neville was part of United's successful FA Youth Cup win in 1992. In the final, the reds beat Crystal Palace 6-3 on aggregate. Gary was joined in this side by David Beckham, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.

Gary made his debut for the Manchester United first team in a UEFA Cup game in 1992.

1996 Double and 1999 Treble

Alongside his brother Phil Neville, Gary was a key part of Manchester United's squad ahead of the 1995/1996 season. Alex Ferguson had famously sold three first players from the previous season so there was a lot of pressure on the United youngsters. "You'll never win anything with kids..."

The three players were Andrei Kanchelskis, Mark Hughes and Paul Ince.

Despite a poor start and a defeat to Aston Villa, United would go onto have a fantastic season. Winning the double after beating Liverpool in the FA Cup Final. The Neville brothers and other members of the Class of 92 would play a crucial part in this success.

The following season, United won the league again. Towards the end of this season, Gary Neville scored his first goal for the club.

After finishing the 1997/1998 season without a major trophy, United and Neville were determined for more success...

The season would go onto become United's greatest ever season. They won a Treble consisting of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. Neville even managed another goal, in a routine win over Everton.

Further success but a low points

Gary Nevile and United would go onto some more great success over the next few seasons.

United had entered the 2000 FIFA Club World Championship. They were knocked out at the Group Stage, this included a 3-1 defeat against Vasco da Gama. A mistake from Neville helped the Brazilian side to their first goal.

Neville ultimately recovered well and helped United win three of the next four Premier League titles. They won the FA Cup in 2004 aswell.

He also had the strange feeling of playing against his brother. Phil Neville signed for Everton ahead of the 2005/2006 season.

Injury problems and eventual retirement

After some disappointing Premier League campaigns, United reached the top of the Premier League again during the 2006/2007 season. Neville was having a decent time but an injury against Bolton Wanderers meant his season ended prematurely. He didn't play again for well over 12 months.

He returned to the first team squad ahead of the 2008/2009 and was a solid rotation option. He played a key part in United's celebrations as they won the Premier League for the third successive season.

He eventually retired during the 2010/2011 season. It was a match against West Brom that eventually lead him to announce his retirement. At the end of the season, he had his testimonial. United played Juventus and lost 2-1.

Post football career

Neville is a pundit on Sky Sports and also become a co-owner of Salford City. Since his involvement in the club, Salford have jumped from the 8th tier of English football to League Two.
