Another fan was puzzled by Ole's lack of substitutions: "If you made a simple sub by taking Rashford off and putting on Amad or James it would have helped!"

This United fan spoke about the goalkeeping situation: "Villareal were looking for the penalty shootout from the start while targeting counter attack and our weakness, set pieces situation. 

"Should have kept Greenwood on and should have used Deano for the shootout, there was a reason why Jose picked Romero over De Gea against Ajax. The rest of the penalty takers subs were spot on though."
