Avro made it two wins from two during pre-season as they beat Radcliffe FC 2-1 at The Vestacare Stadium.
Avro began the game the brighter of the two sides, creating numerous chances during the early periods of the game, and they were rewarded when Louis Potts won a penalty after being brought down in the box. Liam Ellis stepped up and took the penalty to make it 1-0 to Avro, 15 minutes into the game.

Avro continued to create chances following their penalty, Jack Tuohy created a chance for Liam Ellis who shot straight at the keeper.

Radcliffe had a spell just before half-time where they created a few chances but the NPL Premier Division side couldn’t turn one of them into a goal and the score remained 1-0 to Avro going into half-time.

Oumar Camara nearly helped make it 3-0 when he intercepted a Radcliffe backpass but there was no one else inside the box to get on the end of his cross.
Radcliffe created a sequence of chances in stoppage time - eventually scoring thanks to Akpa-Akpro, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation goal for the North Manchester side as the ref blew the whistle for full-time not long after Avro restarted the game.
