As it stands, Manchester City have two friendlies lined up, plus the Community Shield at Wembley.
Pep Guardiola's squad is likely to be initially depleted for the start of pre-season having had 15 players taking part at Euro 2020.
City's pre-season campaign starts with a match against Preston North End at the Etihad Campus. They then travel to France to play ES Troyes. A week before the season starts, they play FA Cup winners Leicester City in the traditional curtain-raiser to the season.
It remains to be seen how City will look once the season starts. They continue to be linked with Harry Kane but will almost certainly have a back up in mind if that move doesn't happen.
That Community Shield will be interesting to watch. Before City's remarkable run last season, they lost 5-2 against Leicester at home.
A look at Preston North End
Preston will be a decent test for the Premier League champions. They finished 13th in the Championship last season and probably raise their game for a trip to Manchester. The last meeting between the sides was an EFL Cup match that City won 3-1.
