Avro continued their unbeaten run in pre-season as they beat Northern Premier League Division One West side Mossley 2-1 at The Vestacare Stadium.
The game began slow, mostly due to the hot weather, with the most notable moment from the early part of the game being Mossley winning a penalty just 6 minutes into the game after their trialist was fouled in the box.
Jordan Butterworth stepped up but saw his penalty saved by Jordan Latham.

The drinks break after 20 minutes seemed to change the game, as both teams came out of it with an eagerness to attack and create chances.
Half an hour into the game, a corner is played to Joe Rathbone just in side the box who tries to shoot, but is fouled and the referee gives a penalty.
Liam Ellis, as always, stepped up and scored to make it 1-0 - his 4th goal of pre-season.
Avro looked most likely to score the next goal as the first half came to a close, although Mossley nearly made it 1-1 when they headed it across the 6-yard box, then towards goal only to be denied by the quick reactions of Jordan Latham.
Avro went into the break 1-0 up. Click the image below for more stories on Avro.
Avro came out in the second half with lots of energy, Mossley knew a 2nd goal for Avro was coming, hence the cynical fouls, including one incident when Danny Byrnes put the ball past his man, just to be blocked from running around him.
But Avro kept going, and were rewarded when Liam Ellis had the ball played over the top and smashed it into the top right corner of the goal to make it 2-0.
Mossley responded well, scoring just 5 minutes later after winning multiple free-kicks. Their goal came as they played the ball down the right and slotted it into the far corner.

We stopped for a 2nd half drinks break as Avro looked to extend their lead and Mossley looked to equalise.
Jordan Latham pulled off a wonderful save from a Mossley header to deny just that. Kai Haigh then created a chance for Kane Wallwork but his shot was saved by the Mossley keeper.
Avro created one last chance, Joe Rathbone shot from outside the box but it went just over the bar.
The full-time whistle went and it was 2-1 to Avro.
Thanks to @davidfish01 and all at @MossleyAFC for today's game on Costa del Limeside 😎. It was a good game played in very hot conditions ☀️☀️☀️ We wish everyone at Mossley all the best for the coming season.
