FC United continued their improving pre-season form with a third consecutive victory.
This time wining 1-0 at at Macclesfield FC thanks to an early second half goal by Ali Waddecar.
After the match, the Macclesfield FC manager spoke with their YouTube channel. You may remember the original version of Macclesfield was wound-up in 2020.
Many fans spoke about about a boring first-half. There were a couple of great chances for FC United with Tre Pemberton being played in and seeing his shot saved well by Steve Hodgson and Charlie Ennis forcing his way through and again seeing Hodgson equal to his shot.
The second half was much livelier with both teams creating chances.
The half couldn’t have started any better for the team in red when a corner from the left found its way to Waddecar who fired the ball home for 1-0. Two minutes later, Waddecar tested Hodgson again but the keeper saved comfortably.
🗣️ Following that 4th win on the spin we caught up with @nreno1977 to get his take on a game where a single goal separated the sides
