FC United picked up a great point against South Shields

FC United earned a credible draw at title favourites South Shields.

Cedric Main got the equaliser in a 1-1 draw in front of 2,362 supporters at Mariners Park. 

Conor Tee gave the hosts the lead on 15 minutes, but Neil Reynolds' side fought back and Main's first goal of the season was enough to claim a priceless point on the road.

The game brought to an end a tough start to the season for FC United. Aside at Warrington, FCUM have come through in decent form and will be improving their points total with two games over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Adam Dodd was named Man Of The Match by the FC United website.
