Reaction

Wigan Athletic boss Leam Richardson spoke with BBC Radio Manchester:

"It's important that we're aware of where we were not so long ago. It's important we work hard to get some depth out of the window.

"The lads who took to the field tonight have worked really hard this week to do what we want and I though the subs also maintained the standards and took it up as well."

Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt told the same radio station:

"It was tight, there weren't many chances at either end. I thought we probably had the better [of the chances].

"We gave it our best shot. We didn't lose the game. We competed well. We're disappointed. We were on the right side of a shoot-out at Barnsley and the wrong side here.
