Francis Lee - Man City legend

Francis Lee played for Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City during a career in which he scored over 200 goals and represented England on 27 occasions.

Francis Lee started his career with Bolton Wanderers before signing for Manchester City in 1967.

During his first full season at City, Lee scored 16 League goals in 31 appearances. He played a crucial role in City's push for the 1967–68 League Championship. This would prove to be their last league title until 2012.

Throughout his time at City, he won four major trophies and became an important way of his side alongside Mike Summerbee.

International Career

Lee scored 10 goals in 27 appearances for his country. He would go onto represent England at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico and was the first English player to receive a card in a World Cup.
