The first meeting between England and Scotland in a major tournament since Euro 96 was played out in a fantastic atmosphere despite Wembley being less than 25% full

Much of the reaction after the match focused on England being rather sluggish throughout most of the match.

They should have taken the lead early on when John Stones placed a header  against the woodwork.

Scotland had chances to take the lead but they lacked quality in the final third. They will need a win in their last game to qualify for the last 16. 

England could go through even if they lose their final game against Czech Republic but will want to win and restart their momentum.

What's going wrong for Harry Kane

Another post match discussion point was the form of Harry Kane. Many are saying that he's tired a long domestic season.

United and City involvement

Luke Shaw started his first game of the tournament at left back. He played in a back four alongside John Stones. City duo Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling played further up the pitch.

Scott McTominay started off at centre back for Scotland.
